Role: Front-end and CRO

A briefing on Social Security disability benefits only helps if someone can finish it. A page that leads with the whole explanation, then asks for a name and a phone number, requests a claim before the person understands the program. This page is a sample. It is not a government site, and it does not file a claim.

Keep the briefing, and make the card one question at a time. An age range, a few yes or no questions, a short note, then name, email, phone, and ZIP. The result stays on the page. What the briefing covers, the agenda, who it is for, and the questions stay for anyone who needs the reason first. The same card returns at the bottom.

The outcome to move is a completed quiz: someone who answers the questions, passes the contact step, and sees the sample result. The step events show where people stop on the way there.

The friction

The first screen has two jobs. The briefing is long enough that a ready visitor has to find the card. A card that shows every question and the contact fields at once asks for a name before the person has answered anything about the program. Someone trying to tell Disability Insurance from Supplemental Security Income never gets a next step that matches that question.

The opportunity

Give the card one question at a time. The lead quiz is that card. Contact fields come after the answers, and the sample result stays on this page. The lines on the page say what the briefing does not do: it does not file a claim, review records, or decide who qualifies.

How we measure it
  • lead_view. The briefing was seen.
  • lead_step, with the step number. That shows whether an answer moved them forward, and which step they left.
  • lead_complete. They reached the sample result, which means the contact step was accepted.

This page is a sample, so the rate is named here and not published as a result. Form data is kept for demonstration purposes only and will not be sold or shared.

How someone else reuses it

Copy the benefits folder. Edit campaign.js: the quiz list, the headline, the date, the agenda, and the lines that say this page does not file a claim. Leave the layout. Navy, official blue, and a gold rule are the colors on this folder. The session version, without the quiz, is the lead funnel landing page.
